    some weeks ago roger b. ran a story about the meals tax on restaurants in the shopping centers. it would have been much more useful to include the GROSS ON WHICH THESE LEVIES WERE IMPOSED. that figure, multiplied by 12. would indicate, to some extent, how much revenue they gross per annum, thus putting this entirely fair impost in its proper perspective. i’ll bet it’s a number far beyod what our in-town mom and pop operations can only dream about.
